I’m Managing Editor of Ideas at Barron’s.
Previously, I was Executive Editor at Harvard Business Review and HBR.org, which won the Webby Award for Best Business Website three years in a row. I also hosted the HBR IdeaCast podcast, which reached 2 million monthly downloads and was nominated for two National Magazine Awards under my tenure.
I’ve also consulted on digital content strategy, edited books, and spoken at conferences, from SXSW to the Drucker Forum to Thinkers50.
For over a decade, I’ve covered new ideas and cutting-edge research in management, business, finance, leadership, and related fields. I have a special expertise in gender issues — I launched and co-hosted the critically acclaimed Women at Work podcast — and a soft spot for all the social sciences, which I find fascinating.
Earlier in my career, I wrote a weekly column for the Boston Metro about the Red Sox, taught and tutored middle school students in expository writing, and got my start working as a researcher for Pulitzer Prize-winning syndicated columnist Ellen Goodman.
My writing has appeared in Boston Magazine, the Boston Globe, Politico, Editor & Publisher, and Reader’s Digest.
I graduated with honors in English literature from Brown University. I live in Massachusetts with my husband, enjoying a shared weakness for old houses.
